Hey everyone,

I bought 10 episodes on DVD off someone at the AIW FB page and I've started ripping them and posting them to youtube. To stretch it out, I'm going to post one every week. I hope everyone else is as stoked as I am!

The first is Say It Again, Ma'am!

Since the last entry, I said we'd be getting episodes shortly after Thanksgiving from my contact. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet. I realized that since he was Canadian, his Thanksgiving was in October so I sent him a message. He basically responded that he's still trying to learn how to use the transfer machine and that school is keeping him busy. While he still seems like he'll do it eventually, I'm disappointed he hadn't contacted me back in October to update me and I have absolutely no idea when we may see them. I will offer to buy or transfer them myself again.

Regardless, it seems like we will still be getting new episodes. If you're a member of Chuckleheads on Facebook, you may have seen someone selling episodes from their own recordings. Jennifer's bought all the discs and hopefully the seller will deliver. If she does, that's 9 (possibly 11) new episodes and that would leave only 25 (possibly 23) episodes missing.

Fingers crossed.

If we want to see the rest of the episodes, we need to be on the lookout for tapes. Garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, etc. Try labels that say 'Disney Channel'.

If you do already have tapes, please contact me either by commenting here, sending a message, or emailing me at gifted2212@yahoo.com.

I know a great place to transfer the tapes (very nice staff). We can do it any way you want: I can buy the tape or return it after transfering. Either way I will pay for shipping! I can send you the DVD in return (with or without the original tape; again, whatever you prefer).

Ideally, I would like episodes that weren't posted on Youtube, but I am interested in episodes that were. Some were posted back when Youtube was lower quality and it'd be great to have them in a higher quality. I am not interested in the tapes Disney released; I already posted those on Youtube.

Yes, finding the rest of episodes will be hard, but we have a small chance if everyone's involved.

Hi everyone,

My name's Jessica and I too am a fan of Adventures in Wonderland. I found this community a few months ago but my friend Jenna (missgifted) gave me the nudge I needed to finally show my face. c: I guess I could start by filling out the intro survey.

1. How old are you? (for kicks, because we know you're probably older than the target audience of this show)
24 years young.

2. What's your calling in life? (it sounds epic, doesn't it)
I'm currently studying Psychology and Sociology and I plan on going into Forensic Psychology as a career. I have a long way to go, but for now that's what I'm aiming for.

3. Why do you like AIW?
Goodness, what isn't to like? The songs are great, the cast is phenomenal and it's one of the very few kids show that I watch today not because I have to, but because I want to. It's genuinely funny and enjoyable without cracking crude jokes. And even though it was shot and set in the 90's, I think it's aged pretty well. My nieces fell in love with it when I showed it to them, so it's pretty great to be able to share something I cherished as a kid to a new generation.

4. Who're your favorite characters? (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, even)
Ah, I love every single one of them! But to play the game, I'd have to say Hatter is my first. His costume was always my favorite and they gave him some pretty memorable lines. Naturally, Hare is my second favorite because you can't have one without the other. Then I'd say the Red Queen and Rabbit come in tied for third place.

5. How were you introduced to the series?
Through the Disney channel when I was about 4 or 5. My sister and I would watch it all the time and it's actually what got me started on my Alice In Wonderland obsession. So this was like a gateway into something much bigger, I'll always love it.

6. What other books/movies/shows/ etc are you a fan of?
Well obviously Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are my top two books, haha! But other than that I enjoy 1984, The Neverending Story, The Bell Jar, A Song of Ice and Fire novels, The Road and a lot more.

My favorite film is Melancholia, and I enjoy films by Sofia Cappola, Wes Anderson, John Waters and Martin Scorsese. I'm a film junkie so this list could go on forever.

As far as TV shows (oh god I'm ashamed to admit that I'm a TV junkie as well!) I like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, American Horror Story, The Office, Veep, Seinfeld, ect.

7. Do you like tea? :3
I do! I enjoy jasmine tea the most but I'll drink anything. c:

I guess Disney's doing something to celebrate their 30th anniversary of being on the air.

Remember Vault Disney back quite some time ago? It was late-night programming with Zorro, Mickey Mouse Club, and other assorted programs from the 50s/60s. I used to stay up to watch the Mickey Mouse Club myself, then proceed to bed after that. (Sorry, everything else.)

What does this have to do with AIW, you ask? Let me tell you.

On Thursdays - late nights - Disney's going to re-air some of their past series. This is going to be called "Throwback Thursdays", and it's going to be from 12am - 1am ET every Thursday. It's nothing big; just two episodes of one of their classic shows. Disney's PR page (@DisneyChannelPR, I'm linking to this for a reason - hold on) is asking their followers what they want to see every week. The show with the most popularity will ultimately get played.

So this is where AIW comes in. I linked to Disney's PR Twitter page because I'd like to see what would happen if a flock of AIW fans came together and just tweeted their support in for two episodes to air one night. I don't know if the network would do that, but it's worth a shot. The only problem regarding this? Most of the content for this block is from after 2001. So if there's a shot, there's a slim shot.

I say forget slim. Who's with me?

(I'll post something similar to this on Tumblr.)

Love that there is a community just for AiW fans! John Hoffman was the first celebrity that I wrote a fan letter to (I was 11 or 12, I think), although I doubt it ever reached him...:-(
Been thinking about this show for years, but it really hit home when Patrick Richwood posted an interview on FB regarding his time as the White Rabbit. Since then, I've watched episode after episode on youtube (thanks to melpierson for working diligently on uploading them) and dreaming of the Hatter and Hare (much like I did back when). I even have started a fanfiction story re: the show's characters (tried posting it on fanfiction.net, but they've gotten rather too complicated since I last uploaded there five years ago).
Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone involved in this community and helping to make sure AiW stays in our hearts and minds for years to come. Can't wait to see what comes up next on here!

I just spent a few hours organizing the community's memories. Now you can find any post of legitimate content that was ever made. I did it for me, I did it for you, and I did it to make it easier to refer to what we've done here in terms of fan creations for my pending Adventures in Wonderland website.

While I'm here, I'd like to ask a question. I've had years to shape this site, I've made a lot of art and sections for it, but I think I need to ask again what ya'll would be interested in seeing. I want the site to be alive, not just reiterating stuff from the past, so whatever I can do to make it fun - let me know. I'll think about it. So far, I've thought of making appreciation pages for character/actors (both combined), listing and making more Episode Picture Reviews, and integrating what I know from the cast interviews into show history and the appreciation pages. I also recently thought of having a page that shows photos of memorabilia. I've seen pins and posters, and I was thinking of asking John Hoffman to snap a photo of his giant red teacup from the set.

But hey, there could be more to do!

Hope your weekend is going well!

Okay, so for those of you who are on Tumblr, I went ahead and I posted the link to the AIW page on IMDb and said that it needs some major work. Apparently, the page lists the cast as doing five episodes apiece, when someone didn't even take into account every other episode made for the show.

Do you think we should edit the page with more information? Would IMDb like that idea?

So, over on my tumblr blog, I've been making AIW gifsets and posting the link to the youtube videos and this community in the post. Looks like it hasn't done much, but I have gotten some amusing comments and the most popular Alice blog on tumblr (lewis-carroll) is going to reblog some of the posts! She's already reblogged one and it got a lot of attention (almost a hundred notes!), but we both realized the community link wasn't in it D: , so that's been fixed in future reblogs.

Anyway, here's hoping we'll get some new members and fans! :D Oh, and if you like any of the gifs, feel free to use them however you wish.
